what we have done
The overall aim of UNICORN has been to help specifically non-formal adult education providers to extend their impact and learn how to engage and communicate with their target audiences (might it be the direct learner or the administrative community they are in or the learners they want to address) in innovative ways and strengthen the impact. The project will facilitate an assessment, review and testing of smart practices used across Europe.
They have been trained in an initial input training and lead to the creation of campaigns or other activities by the adult education staff of the partners, but as well will be designed to be transferred and used by any formal or non-formal institution.
In order to achieve this main goal, the implementation phase of the project led to 6 main results.
They are based on creating impact through communication practices in the different sectors (youth, schools, adult) based on a commonly approved evaluation grid. The grid is based on the principle of self-assessment, helping the involved partners directly to identify areas of excellence, improvement, and risk, leading to the creation of campaigns in the Impact Training.
The input training at the beginning has been based on the self-assessment of the partner and contained an input of methods, where the other partners can learn specific methodologies such as e.g. influencer campaigning, using social media, crowdfunding, brand building, etc. based on the needs and knowledges of the partnership.
Identification of the main pedagogical tools and methods improving social media and community engagement skills, as well as of their main learning outcomes. Pedagogical guidelines will summarize the main results of these activities.
